I've been editing for 6 years and never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined I'd have THIS many people following and loving my videos and sharing this love for these incredible animated movies xD
What a journey... and ya'll are so wonderful and I am so thankful for you guys and your support!! It means the world to me reading your comments (Even if it doesn't seem like I respond to everyone like I once was able to before) and seeing what an impact they've had on you. I just hope this particular project illustrates that appreciation enough, ahehe. THANK YOU AGAIN!! I LOVE YA!!!! ^_^

Now about this video:
Technically, I reached 5,000 subs back in April, on the 17th to be exact, but you know b-day gifts came first, and editing in general has been a struggle, so it got delayed to say the least.... BUT MY WORD WHERE DID THE MONTH OF MAY GO???
This was pretty much all done by the end of April, however I was not completely satisfied with that crazy cocaine-esque effects style I was creating from 1:35-1:52. I'm still not satisfied. I wanted to blow your minds with something cool and unique, but I'm sorry, I am sucked dry on inspiration right now. I've been tweaking and changing it on and off the past month....this is the best I could do. Its done. Hope you like it. *crosses-fingers*
The main object with this was to balance a raw vs high volume of effects style.....I don't know if I accomplished this or not. This song was played in the end credits of the movie, A Dogs Purpose. (Oh was that a heavy movie for dog lovers! *cries*) and sitting in the theater I knew I must go home and start editing a video to it. (Do you realize how many "Home" themed songs I've used over the years? Man I am a major home body, lol!) Youtube severely degraded the quality though; some of the movies don't even look like they're in HD :/
As for upcoming projects: There is a collab in the works! (Thats been in the works for months. You know who you are if you are reading this buddy! *winks* ;)
Some vent vids which are kinda the only thing I relate to doing these days to be honest...
Ah and I've also been sucked into a new fandom, a LIVE ACTION fandom, I've snubbed for years but have ultimately succumbed to being a hopeless fan for ever, muhahaha! I want to edit vids to it soon since it has been a comfort during this rather depressing year.....Oh gosh, I can't believe this time last year I was homesick in Scotland! I'd give anything to go back now.

Alright, its up finally! Already Mid-January...geesh. I was tagged by the lovely thefanvideoer2 who started this tag and I just think its a wonderful idea that needs to become an annual thing now among all of us. So what are YOUR top 3 favorites??? ;)
2016 was a smorgasbord of incredibly GOOD animated movies which is one reason I REALLY enjoyed 2016. Since there was so many it was hard to show just 3 so I did a little runners up thing at the end but its just a one time thing, no one has to do it if they dont want too. I wanted to keep it under 5 mins so this wouldnt be unbearable long.
I was kinda waiting till I saw Sing before I uploaded this to give it a fair shot....Im glad I did, because it was very good IMO. Story + Heart = ♥ =D *giggles*

Now I hope you watched my top 3 before reading any further because I wanted to explain WHY #1 was #1. *shoos off* Go watch!
Zootopia was a very close second, I LOVE IT, especially going to Scotland and all!! But Finding Dory is special in a different way. Finding Nemo came out when I was just 8 years old, and I thought it was the greatest, state-of-the-art animated movie at the time! I mean it was THE BOMB in 2003 and I lived it up in every way, and the story, the characters were on-going puns and it was just such a classic in my home growing up. (It was my favorite Pixar movie till 2015 with Inside Out).
Fast forward 13 years with Finding Dory, at 21 a lots changed. Oh Ill always be a kid-at-heart when it comes to animated movies, but as you get older you loose that original child-like wonder in how you view the world - not necessarily with just movies - that makes certain things memorable and meaningful at that age. Thats not entirely a bad thing, it just means you understand things you couldnt before. You know like, maybe those parts in a movie where the adults were all laughing and the kids are looking back quizzically? But you have a more critical understanding of the story and characters that makes movies, especially animated movies, harder to enjoy. (I hate to say it but its true).
I think Finding Nemo/Dory made me realize that more easily, but thank goodness Im an animation nerd and Finding Dory was such a positive sequel. It probably helps my expectations were exceedingly low, but even the story in itself I relate to more now than the 1st (I guess being an only child with doting parents like Dorys).
I cant honestly say I like one over the other since they were each at extremely different times in my life. The age-gap makes them so unique, for me personally, but I have the feeling Im not the only one who has that same connection.
Alright enough deep stuff that hurt my brain, but since this is all about movies, I think I forgot to mention in my last vid that I FINALLY saw Star Wars Rogue One, New Years Day in IMAX. I couldnt take it any longer when I heard Carrie Fisher passed away. (Im still saddened by that whole loss) But OMG THE MOVIE WAS SO GOOD!! I knew it would be but man the visual effects, story and characters was so DEEP! OH and all those SW easter eggs killed me too; I would have never predicted that bittersweet ending. And I mean, BITTER, all bitter with a smidgen of sweetness on the very final scene. (You guys that seen it know what Im talking about right?!?) Oh that was like the cherry on top of a DARK chocolate sundae, ahehe. And I mean dark, it was a hard movie to watch but really good in a great way, ya know? (You probably dont, lol!)
Now that Ive seen Rogue One and Sing I can say farewell to 2016 since they were the last two films on my rather long watch list, LAST year. (;

Guess who came back from Scotland in one piece?! Did ya miss me? I missed you guys! *warm hugs all around* Yeah, I came back on the 21st but I was completely wiped out. Took me a week to adjust and days more to go through pics/vids, and stuff you would not believe. Yes, I am also working on a vid about my trip I wanted to upload first but its not quite ready yet. Im terrible at these tags because I can never narrow them down. I have a connection with each vid...some good, some bad, most a bit of both....and my favorites jump around. Honestly my favorite vid will be whatever project Im working on and by the time it makes it to YT I am so done with it. Going on 3 years old this April.

♦ Yep, that’s my doggy, my buddy, my best friend! My whole world since April 7th of 2013. Our neighbors sent a text with a pic of this lost little 6-7 week old pup next to a fire hydrant....all alone. I didn’t even know if we’d keep her; I wasnt even sure myself if I wanted to. Ive had 3 dogs in my lifetime + several cats so I knew all the responsibility that went along with that cute face of a new, soon to be BIG dog. Ultimately, it would be my choice to take her on or give her away since she would be MY responsibility. Let me tell you, that was the best choice I ever made in my life to keep her.
You know after seeing movies like How To Train Your Dragon, illustrating a bond between a man and an animal it makes a person long to know what that feels like. I know without a shadow of a doubt it’s a real relationship; not fiction, because Ive seen it, but I hadnt personally experienced that magical feeling of connection before. Nor was I necessarily seeking it because I have a firm belief such a relationship is not something you *knowingly* seek out to make happen. It seems to more or less unexpectedly choose you, by God’s grand design of things I like to believe. And to be sure I wasnt expecting it out of that chubby little pup; about to take away hours of precious sleep and time for weeks from me!
I can’t say it was “love” at first sight, or friends from the start because it wasnt; it happened gradually. Night after night house training, basic training, watching, feeding; acts working together and time spent together eventually blossomed into such a bond for me and April. But that’s what love is you know....a sacrifice, from your own time/wants/needs; a labor of love. I ♥ all my pets and I could easily fall head over heals for more because I have the heart of an animal lover, but not in the same way as I do April. She’s special. IDK how or when; all I know is I woke up one morning and realized how important that dog had become to me in my life. I make her happy, and she in turn makes me happy. April is the one thing on this earth that never, EVER fails in making genuinely happy in life, making me laugh, and smile ever time I see her. I had been reading a book a certain friend gave to me on how to make you animal happy, but I don’t need a book to tell me April is happy. She was BORN happy! That line, “You shine even on a rainy day” fits her description to a tee, and my inspiration in making this. I swear she is the most optimistic, carefree, happy-go-lucky, playful, people-loving pooch I have had the pleasure in watching grow up. (̶u̶n̶l̶i̶k̶e ̶h̶e̶r ̶o̶w̶n̶e̶r) SHE IS SO MUCH FUN!! Aprils even made up games to get me to play with her! Oh and as you can see she has OCD for lights. I mean ANYTHING that reflects anywhere she will see it, stare at it, and try to catch it till she falls over. So funny. (I’m sure you noticed in the vid.) Its hard to take pics or record her because my phone reflects sometimes, and she knows it, and will paw at me. Thats what she was doing at 0:04 btw. (I was aiming to get her to shake my hand, lol! Which she knows and did at 0:13.) Oh and she likes to “talk” too. Yes that was the VO (̶a̶n̶d ̶m̶e.) She speaks to me all the time like that. (Deep voice, no?) It kills me every time, ahehe!
AND SHES SO SMART!! The easiest dog I’ve ever trained...in fact the first. She is so willing to do what you ask from her and learning; a heart of gold that dog! I taught her a number of tricks + hand signals that first year. Part of why I love her, she puts her heart in everything!
Aww, I could go on and on about her but I’ll stop boring you. Everybody thinks they got the best dog in the world, but I know I got the greatest dog....and ya wanna know why? Because she’s my dog....same way your dog is, well, YOUR dog! :)
♦About this vid:
Well, YT once again has degraded my quality. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM YT?! *sighs* I made it real effective-y, and spent hours on that halo. Went all out in the pic ratios and text since it was an MEP part too. OH and I learned something new! How to animate text + virtually anything else. Here ya go Katanna!! :)
