Improving language access for Limited English proficient (LEP) court users continues to be a key initiative for courts in both California and nationwide. In this session, panelists will provide an overview of language access services available in the courts, highlighting specific recent initiatives the courts have taken to expand access to the courts for linguistically diverse court users throughout California, such as through technology and outreach efforts. Of particular interest will be strategies employed by courts to serve LEP court users during the COVID-19 pandemic.
