This video was taken by a student doing an experiment in my biology book. The shell of an egg is removed, and then the egg is put in karo syrup. Osmosis draws water out of the egg, making it shrivel. The egg is then put in water, and osmosis draws water in, overpressurizing the egg. He decided to see what would happen when he cut it open.
