PODCAST SEASON 5 - OVERLAND THROUGH SOUTHEAST ASIA
The highlight of a visit to Angkor: Angkor Wat. It's a perfect visit, sunny with some decorative clouds and still very calm. We admire the beautiful relief work of religious motifs and battles. Many pieces are still so intact and have been beautifully restored. What civilization must have been able to build this huge building in 28 more years. We look at the most important temples of Angkor Thom. The larger temples with many sculptures are beautiful, but the ruins of small, unrestored structures under the moss between old, very tall trees are just as atmospheric.
