There are many draws to individual pedals on a pedal board, our favourite is experimenting with effect order. Placing your SD-1 after a distortion will make the sound difference more apparent, and allow you to boost the overall volume. In front of distortion and the difference is less pronounced, but sometimes you just need a little "more".
