Hiya!
Here's my cover of "(Somewhere) Over the Rainbow", from the very well known "The Wizard of Oz".
I was going through some old lesson material that my piano teacher gave me years and years ago, the other week. Among them I found this piece, and I vaguely remembered trying to play it back when I hadn't been a pianist for a long time yet. I decided to see how well I could do now, and I fell in love with the chords!
Naturally, I'm familiar with the piece since it's a classic (seen the movie, a [small scale] musical, heard covers; all that). Even so, it sounds lovely and is super fun to play! As mentioned, there are a lot of covers around, so I decided to have fun with the composition and play it wholly in my own style :3
The arrangement is a blend of planned and improvisational elements. I had a ton of fun playing this... Hopefully you'll find it just as fun to listen to!
I decided to go with the sound of my electronic piano for once, instead of using a VST (the dynamics felt more natural this way). If you want to download the mp3, you'll find it here:
