In Outlast you play as Miles Upshur - a freelance journalist who goes to investigate Mount Massive Asylum. Armed with only your camcorder, and nothing to defend yourself with, this game proves how helpless you really can feel in a game.

The night-vision mode on the camera, that you are forced to use in the dark, is a clever addition that adds to the overall "shit-your-pants" scariness.

Clamber, hide, and run. that is if you dare enter the asylum!
