The author is also an undergrad student and Canadian so yay canlit. It is her first novel, and like I said there are some amazing moments of writing, but there is some awkwardness in the text that I attribute to it being a first novel. There is also a second book, Order in the Courts, which we may pick up later for one of our monthly picks.
