2Chron 7:14 is often wrongly applied to America. We show that America has no covenant with God, and that this verse only applied to old covenant Israel. This verse has to do with Solomon and the temple, and it was God who made the covenant with Israel.
Old Testament national Israel was the only nation to ever have a covenant with God. The USA has no covenant with God. In Scripture it is God who makes covenants with man, not man with God.

We quote the Puritans, the alleged covenant makers, and show that they could not obligate God to a covenant.
