One of the biggest holidays in Cambodia is the yearly water festival. Called Bon Om Touk (or just Cambodian Water Festival), this year it's set to be one of the biggest parties in Phnom Penh history. After 3 years off, the festival is back with it's boat races, fireworks, and (my favorite part) the spectacular parade of giant boats lit up with murals. It's called Bandaet Pratip. The billboard-like boats go up and down the river all night. It's a light show like you've never seen before.
The festival is a 3 day event and usually happens at the end of November.
