The facts: The Dallas Cowboys are the greatest sports business in the world.
The dream: Convince my wife to come along as I drive our bus-conversion-to-RV to every game for the 2025-2026 season.
The process: Take the AT&T Stadium tour and get her excited for the spectacle that is my favorite football team.
Dreams are a funny thing. People say, 'dream big'. I guess I get what they mean, but my advice would be: 'dream incrementally, and never stop dreaming.' Doesn't have as much of a ring to it, but it's what I've learned over the past 8 years of chasing many dreams, as my wife and I built our YouTube business with 0 experience, 0 skill and for a large portion of it, 0 idea what we were really doing.
On January 1st, 2018, my wife and I officially started traveling. We sold most of what we owned, and put a tiny bit of stuff in storage. Our trip was scheduled for 1 year.
Our dream: travel the world for 1 year. Our YouTube stuff was sort of an afterthought. It was something we could put our effort into if we needed to kill time, or if we happened to stumble into something very interesting. I thought, sort of naively, that we might make some extra cash with relatively low effort. I was pretty wrong about that.
Our first videos earned exactly 0 dollars and took a long time to make. What stood out most was: I could see myself being nervous and awkward, right through the screen, as I was editing my own footage. I knew this was the most important thing to tackle. I had to get more comfortable on camera. I've always felt sort of uncomfortable in social situations, and was a really really shy kid. My new dream was to: get comfortable on camera, being able to speak about a wider range of topics clearly-- figuring that would be a pretty good life skill, when our 1 year trip was over.
And so, I figured practice makes perfect. The only way to get more comfortable on camera was to spend more time on camera. For awhile there, we were uploading daily (this proved to be too much, and was unmanageable), and we were doing 4 or 5 hour livestreams on Sunday. Sometimes we only had 10 or 20 people watching our livestreams. But, I was practicing, and slowly improving.
Suddenly: we started making money on YouTube! Not a lot, but enough to see that there might be a path forward with this. We might earn $500 a month. Still spending more than we were making but it gave us a new dream: Try to break even. We'd now decided to extend our 1 year trip into maybe 2, and we thought if we could travel for 2 full years, 24 months, and now lose any money from our savings, that would be pretty great.
And so: we kept working. Kept traveling. Kept trying to find interesting places to go, stories to cover, and ways to share them. And, we kept dreaming.
Our 2 year trip slowly morphed into an indefinite trip. Not only were we breaking even; we were saving money! Our biggest dream yet came to us: Have a child, and raise them on the road.
Which brings us to today: We have a daughter, and a bus-to-RV-conversion. We have a decent size YouTube channel that is our sole income. We have 5 lifetimes worth of unique experiences and memories. And we have a new dream: DRIVE OVERLAND TO EVERY DALLAS COWBOYS GAME FOR A FULL SEASON!
(To be clear: this is more my dream than Ivana's. But, I am working on her ;))
My overall point is: On January 1st, 2018, I would have no way of knowing where this path would take me. It would be impossible to 'dream big' and see my future: raising children in the back of a bus, zig zagging across the U.S, following the Cowboys to every game. My guess is, if I had've dreamed up that, I would've reckoned it was impossible. How the heck could I ever pull off something like that?
And yet here I am, feeling more and more confident Ivana and I can make it work. We're gonna have to dial the bus in: no room for any breakdowns or issues. We've gotta be comfortable and organized, because there is gonna be a lot of driving. But, because we dream incrementally, and never stopped dreaming, I sincerely think we can pull it of.

![We found our favorite Harvest Host in Texas (RV Life USA)
Harvest Host is an app with incredible value. We spent ~$150 USD for a an all-access membership. We are pretty new to RV life, and werent sure how much we would use it, but we went ahead and bought the highest level of membership they offer.
Thank goodness we did!
Weve been pretty open with our YouTube earnings over the past 7 years. We are financially independent, meaning we dont have real jobs and earn 100% of our income from our videos. Our earnings have high points and low points. This is one of the drawbacks of this career choice: the money is inconsistent. Unfortunately, weve been stuck in a low-point for over a month now.
The good news: Harvest Host is not only saving us money, but, providing better experiences than RV parks. We find this app to be of incredible value.
And so, introducing, Out 2 Pasture Ranch!
We pull in, theres Texas Longhorn steer right there by the fence. Im talking 5 foot wide horns. Their lying around and seem pretty lazy, until they realise our bus is pulling in at which point they come line up by the fence, staring at us. A very friendly reception.
Next, we drive in a bit and meet the owner/ host, Danna. Shes waiting for us there by the laneway. Shes well-spoken and gracious. She checks us in, shows us where to park, and hands us a bag of treats for the animals. Now I understand why the longhorns were so excited to see us!
We parked and immediately went towards the barn. Naturally, Danna was there, taking care of the animals. We met Toby the horse, Hope & Elvis the mini-horses and Amigo the mini donkey. Danna gave us the run-down of the personalities of the animals, and all the plot lines of their lives. (The only thing Amigo loves more than attention is Hope, and he wont let her go anywhere without him. Elvis is stubborn but knows how to pout with his beautiful blue eyes to get his way, etc etc)
The point: BABY JEAN LOVED IT! Shes petting the animals, her face is amazed/ perplexed/ curious/ 10 more adjectives and it was a joy to be around. She wasnt scared or shy. She didnt cry... atleast not until Amigo bit her a tiny bit BUUUT Jean started it! She twisted Amigos ear, I saw it. I mean shes my daughter but Id have bit her, too.
Then came the longhorns. We fed them. Their tongues are huge. My hand got slimy. It was gross. But no regrets. And more importantly: another round of A+ photos and memories for out small family :D.
We believe our experience could not be matched, in terms of enjoyment, and value, at any RV park. We stayed 2 nights at a quiet ranch, with animals you can feed and touch and learn about with RV hookup for water, and electricity for $20 USD. You read that right! $20 USD.
Stayed tuned for more RV life in North America vlogs.
(and certainly more videos from Harvest Hosts!!)

We are very happy to welcome baby Ava into our lives. In 2026, we bought a house, and had a child! Its been a big year for us.
Over the next few months, we will begin renovating our new house, which we bought in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We are leaving Toronto, due to affordability issues.
Its going to be a hectic time with 2 daughters under the age of 2, and 2000kms between our new house and our old life but, we will be ready to move in sometime in the autumn.
In this video, we begin renovating the master bedroom. We have an idea for a total closet overhaul, which is why we began the demolition on the old one.
We installed hardwood floors in the master bedroom, and insulated the basement directly beneath our new floors. Many people told us about the cold winters in Nova Scotia, so we are keen to upgrade our insulation.
One of the surprises of the video is just how friendly our neighbours are. Its sort of unbelievable. We feel grateful to have been welcomed into our little community so graciously. The rumours of the friendliness of East Coast Canadians are seemingly 100% true!

![Chinese villagers took our baby! 🇨🇳
China prodcues a sense of adventure, and intrigue in us that is relatively unmatched. One proof of this is the fact that our longest videos are from here.
With that in mind: We set out to see the hanging village Wangxian via 3 hour train from Shanghai. Trains are tough for us, traveling with a baby. (Even without the baby, the confiscated our power bank?!?! Said it was too big. Although, they sent it to us via express mail and we paid 19 CNY for it a few days later. Still, unexpected) Trains have aisles like planes, except you dont get to check bags. Also: in a plane you can take your time to disembark; in a train youve got to hurry or risk missing your stop. In the end, we made it, but it was a hectic moment with 2 suitcases, a bagpack, a travel crib, a large hand bag, a stroller, and a BABY!
When we checked in at our accommodation, the owner could not have been more friendly. She carried our VERY HEAVY bags up the many steps. She gave us a welcome drink and snack. Best part: her place was freshly renovated and affordable!
Wearing sandals: we set out for lunch. At this point: WE GOTTA SCREAM BECAUSE THERES NO OTHER WAY TO RELAY THIS MESSAGE!! THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD. IT MIGHT BE THE BEST FOOD WE HAD IN CHINA!!! AND, THE LADY TO BABY JEAN TO SLEEP, WRAPPED HER IN A JACKET AND GAVE HER BACK TO US WHEN WE FINISHED EATING. THIS EXPERIENCE ALONE MAKES ME WANT TO RENT A CAR AND DRIVE ALL AROUND CHINA. I LOVE THIS LADY, HER FOOD, HER VILLAGE, AND EVERYTHING ABOUT IT ALL.
Sorry for yelling.
Finally: we arrived in the hanging village. FOR THIS I GOTTA YELL TOO no just kidding Im hoarse already. It was great though. We were surpised at how big the village on the ground was even before the hanging part. China is great a building stuff to look ancient. People dress up in ancient clothes, for photoshoots. The food sellers are smart and put on a bit of a show at the front of their store. Some of the smells are intoxicting (although: no place to buy beer over there). After exploring the village, we heading up the pathways and buildings that are right on the side of a cliff!!
Our experience was great. Up and up and up we walked, never really in fear of our safety.
Once the lights come on, another experience arises. Everything in China is so beautiful at night. Everywhere you go theres very little homesless, grafitti, litter, crime. I guess sometimes night time can feel like time to go back home. In China, night time is time to admire the lights. You always feels safe and the lights accent the ancient-looking buildings so well. It brings a whole nother level to things.

![We discovered COWBOY WALMART in Texas, U.S.A
Ive heard people say America has no culture. Coudnt disagree more.
First: Ive been in the middle-of-nowhere in Asia and seen Michael Jordan jerseys & Post Malones music. Americas pop culture dominates the world.
Second: America has many cultures. Amish culture, Hispanic culture, hip-hip culture, needless to say the crown jewel amongst them is COWBOY CULTURE.
(Sure, Americas cultures arent milleniums old but you can see dozens of cultures while RVing around this country. Its the best place for a longterm roadtrip, I think)
What makes cowboys so great? To me, its what makes skateboarders so great. Its self taught & dangerous. Its visually awesome and sort of counter-culture. Riding a bucking bull and grinding the handrail on a 15 set might appear wildly different at first glace, but I feel theyre pretty similar. Not to mention both skateboarding and cowboying have, what I would call, posers. (for instance, me!)
Now: my dressing-like-a-skater-while-never-ever-not-once-ever-jumping-down-staircases days are behind me BUUUT, are my dressing-like-a-cowboy-while-not-knowing-what-end-of-the-horse-to-ride days about to begin? I decided to go to Cowboy Capital of U.S.A to find out: TEXAS!
We started our journey at the Old Stockyards in Forth Worth. What a great place. Country music, photo-ops with longhorns, BIG TRUCKS, you name it. Theres people all around, young & old, wearing cowboy boots and hats. Its almost like a caricature of what someone whos never been to Texas thinks Texas is like. What a great place.
(Ivana mentioned that it almost felt like a Taylor Swift concert, but I am a married man and did not notice any of the dozens of cowgirls out for a night on the town with their friends. Although I will mention for th 10838 time that Ivana neeEDS TO BUY A COWBOY HATT!)
(Although, I didnt buy a hat either, so I have no leg to stand on. Maybe when we start our Dallas Cowboys trip.)
In the Stockyards, we saw a rodeo. I sort of wish we saw a bucking bull with a cowboy on the back only wearing a cowboy hat but they all wear helmets nowadays, and I get it. It had to happen. Everybody wants to see a cowboy-hat-only rider until their head gets stomped by a bull. Still a great performance and I will give a shoutout to the ladies running on horseback around barrels. Surprisingly great to watch.
Now: our plan was to go to The Worlds Largest Honky Tonk, and we dont even really know what that is. Unfortunately there was a concert in town and it so no honky tonk for us. BUUT, this led to a great memory of our cowboy experience.
We found a store called NRS - National Roping Supply. This is where real life cowboys get their horse-stuff. Its basically Cowboy Walmart and it was awesome. The store is huge and full of whatchamacallits and thingadings. Countless items that we had a vague sense of what they might be for, and typically handcrafted and intricate, and beautiful!
We met Ezra whos a real life cowboy and he showed us how to steam hats to make all the differnt indents in the top. His had was a 200x Stetson made from beaver that probably cost 600 bucks or so. When he walked his boots made a noise on the floor that sounded cool. My shoes dont make that noise. I felt jealous.
