This was 2016 and we looked out our front door in a suburban neighborhood and saw a whole mess of goats in the middle of the street. Our dog RAN outside and started herding the goats by instinct. Our neighbors across the street had the goats clearing their back yard. When the goats ate all the greenery in the enclosed fenced area, they all jumped the fence to reach more food. Lilly our dog (a mutt but clearly with some boarder collie or other herding breed in her) chased them all and herded them back into their fenced enclosure. Meanwhile the Shepherd showed up and I thought he would be made my dog was chasing his goats.... he was incredibly thankful for her help and said she saved him about 4 hours of chasing goats around the neighborhood!!!
