Bill Johnson Teaching (Official) | Our Desperate Need for God: Becoming Poor in Spirit - Bill Johnson Sermon | Bethel Church @BillJohnsonMinistries | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 20 hours ago.
Bill Johnson talks about living aware of our need for God and how to become poor in spirit. To be poor in spirit is to live in total dependence on God, aware of our desperate need for Him. Psalm 107 is filled with examples of people crying out to God in their time of need and how the Lord answered their prayer. This Psalm concludes with an urge to study and understand the wisdom in this chapter. No matter how rich or important a person may get, we never outgrow our need to trust in God. True wisdom and faith is to realize that everything comes from God, and that to live completely dependent on Him is to be empowered by His grace.
