About Aaron Wissner
Aaron Wayne Wissner is the founder of Local Future, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt educational non-profit and a teacher of 25+ years. His mission is to help humans to have accurate, truthful, and relevant information so they can thrive, no matter what the future holds.
Wissner founded Local Future, a non-profit organization which helps communities envision positive, sustainable futures. As president, he organizes and directs various events including The International Conference on Sustainability, Transition and Culture Change: Vision – Action – Leadership. The education channel on YouTube features over 200 free educational videos, with over one million views.
Wissner taught in public schools for twenty-five years, including students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade, in subject areas including: mathematics, science, computers, video production, digital journalism, business applications, and student leadership.
Wissner holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Physical Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor; with additional course work from Michigan State University and Grand Valley State University. He lives in Michigan with his wife and two children.

About Sarina Farb
Sarina Farb is a Midwest-based scientist, educator, and activist with a passion for making the world a better place. Sarina has already worn many hats in her time in her quarter-century on this planet, but no matter what hat she is currently wearing she is always using her skills to advocate for a peaceful, just, and sustainable world for all beings. Having been born and raised vegan in Kansas, she has a lifetime of experience speaking and advocating for veganism, climate justice, and sustainable plant-based living.
She began her science career while still in high school when she conducted her own own molecular biology research project. Her research won her numerous awards, including being a finalist in the National BioGENEius challenge and the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. Sarina went on to attend Grinnell College where she earned degrees in biochemistry and policy studies.
Sarina currently teaches high school chemistry and environmental science in Kansas City. She also serves on the Plant-Based Network advisory committee, is a member of the American Vegan Society Speakers Bureau, and writes and creates educational content on her website and youtube channel Born Vegan.
