EDIT: THE FINAL MANIP I SHOWED IS ONLY BLACK N WHITE TO MATCH THE BACKGROUND BUT ALSO BECAUSE THE LIGHTING WAS OFF AND MADE IT LOOK WEIRD THAT IS ALL
so, as the title states, this is a tutorial on how to use chroma keyer to make cgi manipulations, like the one in the video. cgi can be hard to work with, but if you know your way around chroma keyer and such, it can be very easy. i hope this isnt too boring and i hope it actually helps
in case the video is confusing, you want to use chroma keyer on a scene that has a background of one color, such as the campfire scene in tangled. i also utilize cookie cutter to make it look as realistic as possible. cookie cutter is mostly used to cut out secondary characters in the scene, as well as making little black splotches that makes rapunzel un-see-through.
if anyone wants a more complicated manip to be shown in a tutorial like this, please let me know.

rapunzel and hiccup are together but hiccup unintentionally hurts her so many times that he figures he should stop bothering her (which is what u see in the beginning) and rapunzel doesnt understand why and becomes depressed and its just flashbacks of their good times together and hiccup in the end decides to see her one last time but alas she is gone bc mother gothel figured out what was going on and took her to a place no one would ever find her again isnt life terrible

this is also a vent because ever since emma got me this awesome copy of rotg, ive been obsessed because i can relate to jack so much. hes been alone for a hundred of years, surrounded by people that cant see him. i feel like that a lot. i can be in a classroom full of people but it feels like im not all there, like i dont really exist. i try hard to make my existence known but there always will be someone else that people notice more.

If you havent noticed, this song isnt exactly Tangled material... Its actually based on Harry Potter, but I really like the beat and the lyrics I did add in fit. I like the song, so why not? It also hasnt been used by ANYBODY for a Tangled MV and you may know I like to use different songs to stand out. ;)
This has to be my favorite Tangled MV Ive made so far! I think I hit the beats pretty spot-on and I didnt go overboard with effects. Theres not much I dont like about this, maybe add a different texture? Its not too evident but it will do! I also think I shouldve done something else with the text, it kind of just comes, nothing special. But besides that, Im very proud of this!
Im thinking Ill either do ANOTHER Tangled MV or work on some animated film, like Rio or Toy Story 3. Im in the process of getting Gnomeo and Juliet so maybe, lol, but I heard it was lame. I havent watched it yet, by the way. But we shall see!
I love doing Tangled MVs - Im so familiar with the film and its fun to work with! There are so many songs that could match them but songs just have to have a certain...UNF, you know? So, expect another Tangled MV next. :D

i seem to switch styles with editing. first, it was black & white + overlays, then it was cookie cutter obsession, then emotional editing, and now im at this weird place where i zoom a lot. anyway, i switch a lot and it affects my editing
i worked all day yesterday on this after discovering a new 1D song, which is fabulous. i think im bored of it now after spending hours on this. but i still like it a little bit so please check it out. its an amazing song, right up there with moments.

I know Ive uploaded a lot today but Im in a carefree mood right now so... xD
Tthis is just a preview. I dont have time to do the whole thing because I have too many MEP parts to do. I really need to set my priorities set straight with signing up for MEPs, LOL.
Anyway, what do you think? I was originally just doing this with Tangled but I was considering making a mash-up. Im voting against it now, though. Im too lazy to go back and redo the intro. I already have a mash-up on the way, which will be uploaded once I get some more MEP parts done.
Also, I know the clips at the end get lighter, so that will be fixed when I have time to finish this. So, tell me what you think! I was going to finish this anyway but Id really like it if I had some encouragement. ^^
