For Christof Loy, Ottorino Respighi's gripping opera LA FIAMMA tells the story of a passionate and enigmatic subversive whose nonconformity tears society apart.

His Berlin series of rarely performed 20th-century operas, which includes DAS WUNDER DER HELIANE, FRANCESCA DA RIMINI and DER SCHATZGRÄBER, reaches a new high point with this production.

We celebrate the premiere of LA FIAMMA on 29 September, with further performances on 2, 7, 11, 15 and 18 October 2024.
