While waiting for this adapter (Indiegogo backer), the Motorola MA1 adapter was announced and made available WAY before Ottocast shipped this 2-in-1.
I liked the idea of a 2-in-1 adapter appeals to me still. In this video I excitedly unboxed it, but I haven't had a chance to use it in the car yet.
The set up is the same as the Motorola MA-1 except it gets detected as a Apple CarPlay device, even if you use it with Wireless Android Auto.
Consequently, this also means if you car stereo only supports Apple CarPlay but not Android Auto, this adapter will not only make it wireless, it also lets you use Android Auto on your CarPlay only stereo!
