Has the word of God ever touched something you deeply value—your temperament, relationships, or personal identity? These are the moments when sorrow without words often arises. Jesus does not chase or plead; He simply waits, repeating His call. "Sell all that thou hast" means surrendering everything you consider a possession, standing bare before God, and offering yourself entirely. The struggle lies in the will. True discipleship requires being emptied of pride and pretense, even of the sense of humility itself. Discouragement comes when self-love masquerades as devotion. Will you let go and follow His hard but life-giving words?
