Jesus' command to seek first the kingdom of God overturns our natural reasoning. Humanity often prioritizes survival—food, clothing, and shelter—over spiritual alignment. Jesus teaches that a proper relationship with God must come first, while concerns for life’s necessities follow. Anxiety over material needs demonstrates a misunderstanding of God's provision. A life centered on God requires careful focus on Him, leaving all secondary concerns in His hands. Neglecting responsibilities under the guise of trust is not what Jesus advocates. True discipleship demands prioritizing God above all else and trusting Him to sustain every aspect of life.
