Intercession is not about bringing personal sympathies to God or demanding answers to our desires. It is made possible solely through the sacrifice of Jesus, who grants us bold access to God’s presence. Spiritual stubbornness hinders intercession when we cling to the belief that certain parts of ourselves or others need no atonement. True intercession requires replacing our natural sympathies with God’s interests for others. This shift is rooted in the transformative power of Jesus’ identification with sin, calling us to align entirely with Him rather than our own desires or emotions.
