The late Vinnie O'Sullivan - The Full Recording from 2019.
Today I sat down and edited up the complete 38 minute recording I made with Vinnie O'Sullivan in his shop on Weafer Street in Enniscorthy on the 8th of Feb 2019. Sadly Vinnie passed away in May just gone and I only ever shared 16 minutes of the chat before.
So here it is - with minimal edits and all very real and natural. I used the chance to record him when I was dropping my two girls into the hairdressers next door to get their hair cropped.
I looked back today, as I'd forgotten the other bits where people walked into the shop while I'm recording. One woman comes in with her children and has a lovely chat while at the end a man called Martin Connors comes in to say hello to Vinnie and sure when he was there I recorded him too. Again - very funny moments in this and there's a lovely bit of Vinnie talking to a customer about me recording him when I called into Claragh Carty in the hairdressers next door.
I hope you enjoy it and especially if you are from Enniscorthy and knew himself. The two little ones at the start are my own two and lovely to have them in it as they loved calling to his shop. Enjoy and Rest in Peace Vinnie.
