Meanwhile in the 41st millennium there is only war(!) as the Blood Raven space marines commit to a last ditch battle against an Ork onslaught. This video tracks onscreen space marine & ork casualties throughout this skirmish on Tartarus, using footage from the Dawn of War intro cinematic.
There were off screen casualties too, of course, but I only tracked the ones we could see. I understand that not every marine counted is certain to be dead, but they are counted due to them being incapacitated.
TALLY OF onscreen INFLICTIONS
The Dreadnought accounts for 8 (possibly 9) of the kills
The Space Marine sergeant (2 studs) accounts for 3 of the kills
Ork friendly fire accounts for at least 2 of the Ork deaths
The rest of the space marines account for 5 kills
Ork explosives, grenades, rockets, and gun fire accounts for 4 space marine casualties as well as the death of a Dreadnought and the destruction of a Predator tank.
One space marine fell to a flamethrower and at least four more fell in melee combat.

Imperial battle droids demolish a ~60mm (2.5 in) thick metal door using E-11 blaster gauntlets.
The door was blasted apart in a quartet of explosions that had enough force to scatter its mass. This demolition was performed so that the sentry droids could quickly pursue fleeing rebels past the closed door.
The blasters were clearly used on a higher power setting to achieve this level of destruction. At all other times, the battledroids continued to discharge standard power shots with blasters set to kill. Note the difference in magnitude between regular powered shots which merely scorch thick metal surfaces and maximum power shots that can actually blast through through the bulkhead.
Considering what a maximum powered shot can evidently do to an unarmoured metal surface, vehicular armour that can shrug off blaster fire with minimal or non-existent visible damage must be orders of magnitude more resistant compared to structural metals like titanium & steel (in terms of intercepting directed energy weapons).
