Today I review the NEW Oreo® Chicken & Waffles! ($4.97 - Walmart)
OREO® Chicken & Waffles is a limited-edition cookie flavor that officially hit grocery store shelves nationwide. It is part of a special "Twist, Lick, Vote" campaign where fans can taste three new flavors and vote on which one should make a permanent comeback.
What Do They Taste Like?
The cookie is a unique sweet and savory combination designed to taste like a southern brunch:
The Cookie: Features a special waffle-textured design and embossment instead of the usual OREO® pattern.
The Creme: A dual-layered creme infused with both fried chicken and maple syrup flavor notes.
Dietary Note: Despite the fried chicken flavor, OREO has confirmed that the cookies are 100% vegetarian.
The "Twist, Lick, Vote" Competition
OREO® released three wild flavors simultaneously, but only one will return for a wide release. You can vote for your favorite at the Official OREO Voting Site from now until October 12. The winner will be announced on October 13 and will return to stores.
The three competing flavors are:
Chicken & Waffles: The savory-sweet wildcard.
Banana Pudding: Vanilla wafer cookies with layers of banana and vanilla pudding creme.
Deep Fried: Fried dough-flavored cookies with dark chocolate and fried dough creme
