Oracle APEX continues to evolve as a powerful enterprise low-code platform, and when combined with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI services, it enables developers to build intelligent applications that can see, read, and understand business data. In this session, we focus on Applied AI in Oracle APEX, demonstrating how OCI AI services can be practically used for image classification, object detection, text extraction, table extraction, and key-value extraction to solve real-world business problems.
Through concrete enterprise use cases, attendees will see how Oracle APEX applications can leverage OCI AI services to process documents and images—such as invoices, forms, contracts, and scanned files—by automatically identifying objects, extracting structured data from tables, recognizing key business fields, and classifying documents based on content.
The session will walk through end-to-end application flows, including document upload in Oracle APEX, invoking OCI AI services via REST APIs, handling AI responses, and persisting extracted information into Oracle Database for downstream processing and analytics.
