In the fall of 1969, the Oak Park River Forest High School football team had an undefeated 8-0 record, winning the Suburban League championship for the first time in several decades. Along with Loyola, they were declared the top team in the state of Illinois by the Chicago Sun Times.
These films were taken by the Oak Park athletic department, and the color films were taken by Dick Meyer. I produced this highlight tribute for a reunion we had of the football team, coaches, and cheerleaders in the fall of 2006.
