If you're after one of the best camera phones of 2026, this pair offer the Pixel 10 Pro XL a serious bit of rivalry. Both flagships offer a sizeable main sensor, capable telephoto snapper and respectable video capture. The OPPO Find X9 Pro was my favourite mobile camera of last year, but the Honor Magic 8 Pro is an excellent alternative. It's just as capable, if not more so, in low light. Plus, you get all the usual AI photo editing shenanigans.
Gaming is a slick, smooth experience on both phones too. The Honor Magic 8 Pro runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the OPPO Find X9 Pro sports that Dimensity 9500 Ultra from Mediatek. Either way, you're guaranteed a stable frame rate in Wuthering Waves when gaming on the high graphics settings.
Battery life is better on the OPPO Find X9 Pro vs Honor Magic 8 Pro, but both phones offer two full days of use on a single charge if you're restrained. Else, demanding users can enjoy a full day with plenty left in the tank.
