This is the OPFXS Dig Deep MK3, a serious sub-harmonic engine that turns your guitar into an enormous, tightly tracked low-end machine.
The beauty of this pedal is its ability to analyze your playing and instantly provide the root note when needed, while letting higher notes shine through untouched by the sub. At the top you’ve got Dry and Sub Mix, so you can keep your guitar present while a floor-shaking sub sits underneath. The two sub-octave layers, -1 Oct and -2 Oct, are independently adjustable, letting you decide how much low end to blend into the mix.
All the controls have a secondary adjustment accessed via the shift function, giving you even more tonal flexibility. The Low Pass and High Pass filters sculpt the sub so it never muddies the mix — roll the LP down for a warm synth bass or open it up for more pick attack. Range tightens tracking across the fretboard, 1st Harmonic adds definition, and the selectable Wave changes the sub’s voicing.
For singer-songwriters, the Split feature is perfect; strum or fingerpick chords on the main output while the sub channel feeds a bass amp or DI. The root stays planted, almost like a second instrument, giving solo sets a full, grounded sound without a backing track. Dig Deep also loves feeding into fuzz or other dirt pedals, exploring their full potential.
After dialed in, you can store everything into three presets. Plus you can load up OPFXS software editor over USB-C to fine-tune and assign control parameters to the dedicated knob or use MIDI for advanced changes. Handmade in Italy, OPFXS pedals provide capabilities and flexibility that are rare among boutique effects. Check out their whole range at opfxs.com
