In May 2024, Team Rubicon successfully concluded Operation: Golden Grizzly in Grizzly Flats, California, showcasing our wildfire mitigation capabilities. This critical mission addressed the urgent fire mitigation needs in this region vulnerable to devastating wildfires like the Caldor Fire of 2021 and the Mosquito Fire of 2022.
On April 19, 2024, Team Rubicon West Branch initiated a Type 2 operation, deploying volunteers from across the country to assist residents of Grizzly Flats and surrounding communities. Our efforts focused on the removal of hazardous trees, route clearing, fuel reduction, and creating defensible spaces around homes.
