A few weeks ago, Lily-Mae did a cover of ‘Stars and the Moon’ from Songs for a New World, which became a very popular video. Like many of you here, the first Jason Robert Brown musical I came across was 13, then it was The Last Five Years. He is always able to tell amazing stories through his songs. The song this week is the opening number of Brown’s first major work Songs for a New World and sets the theme of the show. The characters sing about how there is ‘one moment’ that can alter one’s stable and certain life. Thank you Darcy for suggesting doing this project with her friends. Toby performed a duet with Darcy in one of our early videos almost two years ago and his Bring It North bandmate Harry is also part of this video. Harry performed with Lily-Mae in 13 back in 2019. And we have Phoebe to complete the quartet this week. They all train together at MX Masterclass. They have filmed their version of the show’s opening number ‘The New World’ and have written a few words about this project:

‘I first discovered Jason Robert Brown after I performed as Archie in 13 the Musical with my local performing arts group, so this was an amazing opportunity to sing something that I enjoy with such a talented group of friends ❤️ Thanks so much for this Hayden’ – Harry
