They're back, that's neat. The Overwatch 2 system to get them is slightly different, but the amount of boxes you get is just about the same which is neat (3 boxes MAX per week w/ enough games played, compared to infinite in OW1 with 1 free for each level, which for the average person was 1-2 boxes a week from what I remember).
Already got a new Roadhog skin to use whenever I'm getting out my 25 open queue wins for the season from the first 5 boxes.
