Today I took on the infamous USS Oklahoma BBQ Challenge at Red Dog Saloon — a massive 7.5lb platter packed with smoky brisket, pulled pork, ribs, wings, sausages, fries, slaw, and texas toast.
The challenge wasn't supposed to happen as I had one planned that evening, but the venue had to cancel, but step-up Red Dog Saloon who were amazing in me taking this on at the last minute. Please do check it out if you're ever in the area!
This challenge has only ever been beaten once… so I had to find out if I’ve got what it takes to become the second person to conquer it.
The food at Red Dog Saloon is seriously good, but when you’re facing over three kilos of BBQ, good flavour only gets you so far! Can I make it to the finish line before the time runs out?
