One Shuttle Split Ring Bonus Trick #FairyLacefromElena

Working split rings with one shuttle requires a temporary working loop for the second half of the ring. The traditional method uses a loop made from a loop around the hand, which works beautifully but can be a little awkward to control.

Here is a simple practical trick: use an empty shuttle for that additional loop.

The loop can be placed onto the empty shuttle, turning it into a convenient holder for the working thread. This makes forming the double stitches much easier and faster, while giving the thread better control throughout the process.

It is a small adjustment, but one that can make one-shuttle split ring work considerably more comfortable. And it is especially useful when making a whole sequence of split rings rather than just one.
