If you see the church as optional, do not be surprised when your children see God as unnecessary. I don't talk about it a lot, but I had a pretty bad drug problem. I got drug to youth every Wednesday night. I got drug to the Friday night revival service. I got drug to the Saturday morning prayer. I got drug to the Sunday morning. If the doors were open, I was there and I went kicking and screaming. Until one day I met God in church. Better is one day in the courts, then a thousand days anywhere else. You're in a different atmosphere. It's a different anointing. Read the Bible at home, play worship in the car. But there's nothing like the gathering of the saints. When we get together to lift up the name of Jesus, I still believe in the church. I believe in the power of the gathering. I believe that when you and I get together and we connect our faith together, anything is possible.
