A woman armed with two knives stabbed a 32-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man near an NYPD substation outside One Times Square in New York City at around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The female victim died, while the man was hospitalized in stable condition. Police fatally shot the attacker after she refused orders to drop the knives.
