Student engagement and opportunities are a cornerstone of the Dole Institute’s mission. For nearly 20 years, the Dole Institute Student Advisory Board—the official student organization of the Institute—has brought KU students together who are united by common interests in public service, government, and politics. Through informative discussions and experiential learning opportunities, they broaden their understanding of our country and the world beyond what’s taught in the classroom.

The Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics is dedicated to promoting political and civic participation as well as civil discourse in a bipartisan, philosophically balanced manner. It is located on KU’s West Campus and houses the Dole Archive and Special Collections. Through its robust public programming, congressional archive, and museum, the Dole Institute strives to celebrate public service and the legacies of US Senators Bob Dole and Elizabeth Dole.
