Today we spend One Day in Speyer, one of the oldest cities in Germany. In 1990 Speyer celebrated its 2000th anniversary. We take a look around the city center and explore more on our way. Speyer Cathedral and the Altpörtel (old gate) dominate the Speyer landscape. In the cathedral, beneath the high altar, are the tombs of eight Holy Roman Emperors and German kings.
