Today we are in Neustadt an der Weinstraße a small city directly at the boarder of the Palatinate Forest. Neustadt is known for wine, many vineyards, a beautiful old town and of course the Hambach Castle which is also known as the cradle of German democracy. There also many hiking trails nearby.
