Gina-B Silkworks | One Button a Week 2022 - Intro & week 1: Sparkle - 6 point wrap button with metal thread - how to @GinaBSilkworks | Uploaded January 2022 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
This video is an introduction to my new challenge - One Button a Week 2022, explaining how you can take part in the challenge. Basically, is is a prompt based challenge - create 1 handmade button each week inspired by the prompt (prompt lists are published on my social media accounts and blog at onebuttonaweek.co.uk/). Buttons can be any medium, but must be able to be used as a fastener). Share an image on social media using the hashtag - #onebuttonaweek2022 - that's it!
The prompt for week 1 is "Sparkle", so to kick things off, this video will show you how to work with metal thread and plate to work a six point wrapped button - often known as a 6 point deathshead button.
