In a challenging environment, OMV generated a Clean CCS Operating Result of 9 billion euros in the first 9 months.
In a less favorable market environment, the result from the Chemicals and Materials segment decreased to 1 point 4 billion euros. Strong nitro margins could not overcome negative inventory effects and the repercussions of the incident in the OMV Schwechat Refinery
The Refining and Marketing segment generated 1 point 7 billion euros. One of the main factors that contributed to this increase were the notably higher refining margins in Europe. A strong performance of Gas & Power eastern Europe coupled with improved refining margins and strong operational performance in ADNOC Refining were also driving this significant increase. This positive development was partly offset by a weaker retail result and the Schwechat incident.
Driven by a favorable market environment, earnings in Exploration and Production soared to more than 6 billion euros in the first 9 months of 2022.
