What I wasn't expecting from 2021 was to play a game that so seemingly effortlessly brought me back to the feeling I had when I played Undertale for the first time. In some ways I feel like it's unfair for any game to be compared to Undertale, especially one that really sets itself apart in so many ways and does so many unique things. However I really feel like it illustrates just how impactful Omori is as a game that it does get that comparison and still stands on it's own. I had the pleasure of playing through it this past week and can't praise or recommend it enough.

For my first cover, I wanted to do the song that stood out to me the most, which in this case was Sweetheart's battle theme. When I heard the backing arpeggios, my first thought was that it would be fun to play, but even some of the melody lines in this song are downright sadistic to play. I gave it my all since I really enjoy this theme and hope you guys enjoy how I arranged it for metal! I tried to add in the original elements along side like the harpsichords, 808 kicks, and synths. It was a real challenge to mix it just right, so I hope you like it!
