First off, I have 1000 subscribers now! Thank you to anyone who's been along for the ride. It's weird to think I've been doing this remix thing for four years.
Anyway, I played Omori! My feelings about the game are a bit mixed. The art and music are extremely well done and the story is mostly pretty good (the twist was kinda dumb tho). But the headspace sections (besides otherworld) are a real drag. They felt tedious, badly paced, and pointless (sweetheart’s castle being the worst offender). Omori’s gameplay is obviously not one of its strong suits, so it sucks that so much of the game is dedicated to it. It also doesn't help that the game’s combat and flavor text are pretty bland as well. Because of that, I have a really hard time calling Omori a great game, which I think is a shame since I do genuinely admire the game from an aesthetic and narrative standpoint.
Regarding the remix, I made a goal to myself after I finished Omori to get at least one remix of a song on the channel. I thought it'd be easy since there are a lot of cool songs in Omori, but a lot of them are pretty short, which means more work for me when remixing (bleh). Anyway, I settled on Good Morning since it's one of the few songs that's close to two minutes. I also figured it'd be a cute song to remix for my 1000 sub special, so there's that too :P
