The Ombudsman has accused the Department of Immigration and Home Affairs of attempting to intimidate and punish a woman who intended to complain about delays to her permanent residency application.
In her 2025 Annual Report, laid recently before Parliament, Wendy Cumming says it is without a doubt the most significant investigation she has carried out in her first full year as Ombudsman.
