At the Omboye Comprehensive School, Siaya County, we met with a group of young girls—18 in number—waiting for us, dressed in traditional sisal skirts and white hats made of paper. They had one instrument: the bul (traditional drum).
The group came into the set and performed their first song, “Dodo Dance”. The recording went smoothly, and they also did an a cappella version of the same song. It’s always being sung by Lou woman during the wedding ceremonies.
