How does it perform for astrophotography? It does work but it is just not quite worth spending the cash if that is your only reason to buy it. I myself do not regret getting it though as I use it a lot for photographing other things.

In looking at some of the lenses construction it may be that in order to give the lens the best bokeh possible, and it does have great bokeh by the way, the correction of coma was probably sacrificed.
