If you are looking for some good no nonsense books on astrophotography Charles Bracken has written some excellent ones. I personally use his books and also have them as a required book for my own astrophotography classes. I believe that Charles has really done some great work and it provides the astrophotography community with a solid foundation for reference and learning.
