I had to use the freecam to skip the QTE since if you do so as a tag team, your controls get locked up. This is also my first video to use the nVidia GeForce overlay for recording.

A quick race in Thunder Deck with no AI as Zavok. Captured directly from my Switch. If theres any glitches in the video, thats due to the capture card.
To achieve there being no AI, connect two Joy Cons as two players. Go to Race Settings and set AI racers to 0. Disconnect both, and only connect one as Player 1. Then select the race and character like you normally would.")

Rendered in Blender 5.0.0 with the Cycles renderer.
Its been a long time since Ive done a cutscene remaster, so I figured Id do one for Sonic Generations this time.
Unlike the ones Ive done for Colors, this one was rendered in the Cycles renderer, due to a refraction shader that didnt seem to work in the Eevee renderer. This also got me to make the cutscene look more cinematic as a result in regards to the lighting.
The morph anims for the mouths had to be done manually by copying values over, but it wasnt too much trouble. Just tedious. Same with the eye UV-animations.
For the picture itself, it was technically rendered in open-matte (in-game its zoomed in), so I decided to add some cinemascope bars to the top/bottom of the screen. Mostly to hide an error where the chandeliers would appear to be floating in mid-air without a ceiling, and to somewhat better match the framing of the original (though theres still more on the sides that can be seen).
Im overall happy with what I was able to manage, though I also apologize for any inaccuracies when compared to the original cutscene from the game itself.
