Thousands of people are expected to head to the University District as Ohio State students begin moving into residence halls, bringing increased traffic and parking demand around campus.
Along West 11th Avenue, a road crew set out signs blocking the right-hand lane. A crew member said the other lane will remain open but will be used only for drivers turning into the parking lot beside Smith-Steeb.
Despite the start of move-in, roads around campus were still clear, and most lots around campus still had plenty of open spaces.
