The Forest is most definitely not the kind of game that could just be quickly looked at in order to make a quick video: over four hours of gameplay were required to form a decent opinion on the game along with a solid video demonstrating more than just the start of the game. From surviving, creating basic elements like fires and shelters, to the VR support implementation (played on the Oculus rift & Touch motion controllers), to the game's extensive options, to combat and more, this first impressions will show you a lot of what you'll need to know before getting your copy of this game. Cannibals, rabbits, birds and lizards were severely hurt in the making of this presentation. The footage consists of two play sessions each lasting a bit over two hours and in addition to helping gamers decide if they want to get the game for its newly implemented VR support, this should also help the developers pinpoint issues with the title and possible improvements with gameplay clarity.
