BrianMp16 | Ocarina of Time - 5 Bombchu Hover over Kakariko Gate using Guard @BrianMp16 | Uploaded 13 years ago | Updated 14 hours ago
I was inspired to find a way to hover over the Kakariko Gate non-TAS after watching Swordless's All Dungeons TAS. After a lot of messing around and various testing, this is the strategy I came up with.
Before you get excited, it is basically completely useless. If executed well, (which I did not in this video) it will save 11-12 seconds as opposed to simply saving and quitting after leaving the botw. However, this hover is stupidly difficult. You have to have the perfect positioning, both on the x and y plane and after the first hover you have to have perfect positioning on the z plane to successfully get off the ground with another chu hover. And you must execute all of this with 1-3 frames of accuracy.
If another setup is found and proves to be consistent, this may have a potential use. But for now, it's useless. Essentially this is just a starting video to show this hover can be done non-TAS and without pause buffering. Now Exodus, go out there and find a consistent setup. And anyone else too I guess =P
Enjoy.
