That's why NYU's Center for Counseling and Community Wellbeing began offering free counseling in September of last yearâsupported by the nonprofit Southern Smoke Foundation for food and beverage workersâto give the restaurant community the mental health support they need.
Dr. Jordan Wright, a clinical associate professor at NYU Steinhardt, and graduate students supervised by New York State licensed mental health professionals provide 20 free sessions per clientâand offer continued care at a low cost.
